Imagine – A Heaven on Earth

A variety show benefit, with proceeds going to UBC Theatre & Film Student Scholarships 

The theme for our student benefit this year is “Heaven on Earth” – what would that be like? Come out and join us for some heavenly entertainment right here on terra firma. You’ll enjoy an uplifting variety show chock full of music, singing, dancing, and acting.Imagine – A Heaven on Earth is devised by Associate Professor Cathy Burnett and performers will be UBC BFA Acting students, guest artists and UBC Theatre alumni. Guest artists include renowned opera singer Heidi Klassen, and jazz and pop artists Leora Cashe and Anna Beaumont. There’ll be dance pieces to move you such as “Heaven I’m in Heaven” and “Your Love Lifts me Higher”. Our very own Marilyn Monroe will be back again as our MC for the evening as well as other guest stars!

Our student scholarships provide important recognition and modest financial assistance to Canada’s next generation of theatre and film artists. So be an angel, come out and give wings to this worthy cause and take part in a fun filled evening of fine entertainment with UBC’s upcoming “stars” and friends!
