Light and dark coming together inside of art, music and voice is also called Chiaroscuro – an Italian Bel Canto singing technique. Chiaro – light and Scuro – dark.

Singing for the purpose of healing and connection is more concerned with the inner world versus the outer world. The cause and effect of singing for the self versus the benefit of the audience.

To be a singer is a full meal deal, body, mind and spirit.  

We have to become blank slates for our voice to be able to move around inside of us like we are the building and our voice is the elevator.  

There is something unshakable about being in the presence of someone in their authenticity. The difference between being with someone who is being in their ‘power’ and being with someone who is in their ‘authenticity’ is the ‘authentic’ person brushes off on you and you want to be around them, the ‘powerful’ person makes you feel less than they are.

We recognize the magic in nature because it’s inside of us and we are in touch with it. As within as without; a beautiful reflection of our inner subtle awareness.

Are our dreams are only valid if they serve a greater (higher) good?

The singing voice reflects all of these patterns and injuries in our bodies through the felt sense of available space, or, the lack of space within our body.

So many people I know manage and control the initial trauma they experienced and never actually heal or change the status quo of how they respond. We have not had a understanding of this deep fragmentation in our society, until now.

We are all trying to find our way the best we can, all of us are gathering pieces of the puzzle and moving forward the best we can. Sometimes when the pieces fit together I catch a glimpse of heaven on earth.

Our voice never lies and will always tell us our inner weather barometer of what we are feeling, thinking and living. Our voice reflects our life. The question is are we listening to what it is saying?

Paint with new colours that liberates others from their own beigeness as well as yours. Do small acts of existence to prove to yourself that the light is indeed the truth and the way.
