More on living a Creative Life

Creative energy by its very nature is destructive as well as it is creative.

A few excerpts from my article, ‘The Unbearable Weight of Creativity’.

“My beautiful ideas have fallen through the cracks and through my hands so many times that I believed that I would never be able to hold them and nurture them into existence.”

To the degree that we control and push life, or attempt to, the harder it is to let this natural energy in so it can paint what it wants in our life for us.

“I had to learn to grow up around each idea enough for it to trickle into me gently and not roughhouse me as it arrived.”

It can certainly ‘roughhouse’ you as it arrives after so much time being held at bay.

Not sure I’ve mastered the ‘trickle’ yet but more and more I understand the process of opening to this creative force, the ensuing chaos and confusion that follows and then the rising out of the ashes again, hurrah!

Speaking of being roughhoused over the years I’ve had countless dreams of tidal waves. Waves, small waves, big waves, waves the swallow and waves that are, well, nuff said.

It has been this force knocking on my door saying open or I’ll throw a wave at you!

Can you relate? And if so feel free to tell me about it. I’ll write about it (keeping you a secret).

”Supporting this creative, flowing power by slowing down enough to recognize the innocent life force that it is. As well as being able to recognize the difference between; the natural rising of the creative life force and the fear of this life force.”

This is the key.

To be able to recognize the difference between the natural creative energy and the fear and control that arises because of it and then the letting go of control that needs to happen for it to do its thing.

Why does it trigger fear?

Because it’s powerful, it’s fierce, it’s nature and, it’s going to clear away anything that stands between you and it.

Yikes…

And just to say it also brings with it the present moment, peace of mind and everything you’ve always wanted, although you didn’t know you wanted it until it arrived within you. ;o)

I had to get that in there.
